One of the first things I change from my wardrobe come fall is adding boots to my looks. It’s not only the shoe I wear the most throughout the cooler months, but it’s also the ideal shoe for transitioning summer looks into fall too. Fall boots are also usually the most practical. Whether you live in a snowy climate or wet climate, they’re kind of essential to getting to and from work or around town. For me, even though I live in Atlanta, I travel to the Northeast quite a bit throughout the year and personally own snow boots. And I wouldn’t dare not own a pair of rainboots!
To make sure you have all the boots you need for fall and winter check out the below list! These are the best fall boots for women!
These are a fun alternative to a pump for winter. Stick to sleek lines and silhouettes. A sexy heeled bootie can work for the office to a dinner out with friends. I love them paired with little dresses and add tights for when it’s cooler out. But they’re also great with skinny jeans, or faux leather leggings.
A great trendy boot to try is an animal print one. Whether you like leopard, cheetah or even snakeskin these truly act as a neutral. I recommend keeping your prints to a more neutral tone so you can get the most wear out of them.
A few other styles to consider that go above the ankle are knee-high boots (like riding boots or high heeled knee-high boots) and even over the knee boots. These can be worn over jeans (keeps you super warm in the winter) or with dresses and skirts. I always love a knee-high with tights and a nice dress or skirt. Such a feminine look for winter.
The ones I wear the most often, a fun block heel bootie. They’re comfy, just enough height and easily dress-up lots of looks. They’re a great swap for sneakers or flats.
If you don’t experience any snow where you live, you can 100% skip this boot. But if you travel to places often that do get snow, I recommend at least buying one pair to have that goes with a lot of things. I love these that I got a few years ago from Abercrombie.
